Miguel
Ángel Fernández is an associate attorney at the Law Offices of
Kenneth C. Chessick, M.D. He is licensed to practice law in the state
of Illinois and in the United States District Court for the Northern District
of Illinois.
Prior to joining the Law Offices of Kenneth C. Chessick, M.D., Miguel practiced
law in the State of Illinois for 4 years in the areas of insurance coverage
and general civil litigation.
Miguel graduated with honors from the University of Florida in 2000 with a degree
of Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History. He received his
Juris Doctor degree from University of Chicago Law School in 2003. While
in law school, Miguel worked in the Criminal/Juvenile Justice Project at the
Edwin F. Mandel Legal Aid Clinic, representing underprivileged youths who had
been charged with criminal activity.
Miguel, a first-generation Cuban-American, is fluent in Spanish. He resides
in Elgin, Illinois, with his wife and is active in his church community.
